We understand the predicament that property owners find themselves in weighing the benefits of having a customer, or potential customer, towed. We try to make the process go as smoothly as possible for the property owner and the individual being towed. Property owners and other authorized persons will reach a dispatcher 24/7 to take their call. In most cases we will get a driver to your location within thirty minutes.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

When customers arrive at our facility they are greeted by a courteous staff member who offer to do what’s necessary to help them retrieve their vehicle as quickly and easily as possible. The waiting room is air conditioned and has comfortable seating. Our central location in the West Los Angeles area puts us within walking distance of several Metro bus lines and soon to be Metro Blue Line.

VEHICLE SAFETY

We have a state of the art storage facility with video surveillance so customers are relieved when they see their vehicle is safe and secure. Our facility exceeds the requirements of all law enforcement agencies. It is open and staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

NO GATE FEES

Other towing companies charge an additional “gate fee” to customers who pick up their vehicles after 5:00 PM and on weekends. We are staffed to release vehicles 7 A.M. to 7 P.M., seven days a week and without any additional charge to the customer.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICE

Before you engage any towing service to remove vehicles from your private property, you should know that you could be held legally and civilly liable should the impound process not be conducted properly. We suggest you thoroughly investigate the towing firm you engage as your representative. Remember, the owner of the vehicle you have towed away may be your neighbor, or a potential customer, depending on the type of property you have.

OFFICIAL POLICE GARAGE

Quick Silver Towing is an Official Police Garage for the Los Angeles Police Department, West Los Angeles Division and West Traffic Division for light duty towing as well as the California Highway Patrol.

Frequently Asked Questions

DO YOU HAVE OUR QUICK SILVER TOWING SIGN(S) POSTED?
Our signs must be posted on your property at all entrances to your property in order for us to legally tow any vehicle from private property. If you have your own signs posted they must include the California Vehicle Code 22658a, L.A.M.C. 80.71.4, local police or sheriff's information as well as Quick Silver Towing’s information. In addition, proper posting must be up for 24 hours before you can legally tow.

*Posted signage is NOT necessary if it is a single family home and the vehicle in question is 100% on the owner's property. All impound requests in this instance must be made by the property owner.

ARE YOU AUTHORIZED TO TOW?
Only property owners, property managers, and security personnel are typically authorized to tow vehicles off of private property. If you are a tenant you must have a "Letter of Authorization" that allows you to sign the tow authorization upon the arrival of our tow truck driver.

HOW LONG HAS THE CAR BEEN THERE?
If it’s on private property it can be towed immediately. If it’s a business or commercial property, the vehicle has to be there for at least one hour before we can tow it from the property.

IS THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION COMPLETELY ON PRIVATE PROPERTY?
It is illegal to remove vehicles from private property that are partially parked on city streets.

IS THERE A CAR BLOCKING YOUR DRIVEWAY?
Unfortunately we are unable to tow off of city streets without a tow authorization from a DOT/LAPD officer. Please contact the Department of Transportation's dispatch hotline at 310-312-3500 to assist in getting a Department of Transportation officer to your location.
